Seeing the world through a camera

My name is Marja Heiskanen and I am a photographer from Finland. I’ve discovered digital photography rather recently in my adult years. I found it to be the perfect way of combining two things I love; exploring and learning about nature and use my creativity. I’m mostly self taught from the beginning, with the help of some courses and tutorials. Today, spending time outside photographing is a way of life for me. I have a special place in my heart for nature’s atmospheric close-up and macrophotography, but I’m always open for new adventures and discoveries. Since April 2023 I’m continuing my journey as OM SYSTEM Ambassador.

When I take my camera out, I’m amazed of the world it shows me. It’s an infinite source of possibilities, discovery of shapes, colors and wonderful details that nature brings before us to marvel.
